Sharon Myatt, Employer Development Consultant

A photo of Sharon MyattSharon Myatt has over 20 years of experience in the private sector in training and innovative program development. Sharon has also worked in the nonprofit sector for over 20 years and has been recognized by winning several international awards for initiatives between not-for-profit entities and corporations that fell under her leadership. Sharon currently works as the Employer Development Consultant with Ontario JOIN (Job Opportunity Information Network). Sharon’s responsibilities include broadening Ontario JOIN’s Business Leadership Network and supporting EARN’s Business Leadership Network in Ottawa, as well as ongoing development of employer relationships, delivering Accommodation and Disability Awareness sessions, managing Ontario JOIN’s annual employer conference held in the fall of the year for the past ten years, as well as managing Ontario JOIN’s Annual Career Fair for job seekers with disabilities. Sharon is a recognized speaker, facilitator and keynote presenter at many conferences and corporate events speaking about diversity awareness, accommodation in the workplace, and retention strategies in employment for persons with disabilities. Sharon also holds positions on several Boards in both the corporate and non-profit sectors.

Michelle has more than a decade of experience in the home health care and administrative field. As the Administrative Assistant for JOIN, she is responsible for the day-to-day operations of JOIN.

 

                                

 

 

NICK HADJIYIANNI, EMPLOYMENT PROGRAMS MANAGER AND SOCIAL ENTERPRISE INITIATIVES

Nick Hadjiyianni has worked for Community Living Toronto for over 25 years and has managed many employment programs for persons with Intellectual disabilities. Nick has also lead various Social Purpose Enterprise initiatives in which maintain self-sufficiency and success. Nick has managed the Toronto District School Boards Special Education process and lead many transitional programs for students exiting the school system and looking for employment. During the last 15 years, Nick has served on many elected Board of Directors and has held positions of treasurer, vice president, and president.
