On Wednesday, March 30, 2011, Ontario JOIN (Job Opportunity Information Network) in partnership with Service Canada held the first ever "Career Fair for Job Seekers with Disabilities" in Toronto from 10:00 a.m. till 4:00 p.m. at On the Park Events and Conference Centre, 1095 Leslie Street. The intent of the day was "Connecting Employers with Job Seekers with Disabilities." Business leaders from Ontario's private, public and non-profit sectors came together for this very important event.
This Career Fair is an employment strategy to connect job seekers with disabilities and employers and it gave the opportunity for job seekers with disabilities to connect with:

- Jobs Opportunities in Several Labour Markets
- Career Experts
- Workshop Presenters
Ontario JOIN received over 700 job seekers with disabilities who have been caught in the challenges of finding a job. In addition, throughout the day job seekers had the opportunity to participate in several workshops delivered by Ontario's business leaders. The topics will include:
Roles in the Hospitality Industry, The Importance of Reasonable Accommodation and Disclosure, The Importance of Research and Resumes - How to Fit the Role, Working Differently - Paving Your Own Way, What I look for in an Employee, Behavioural Based Interviews, Competency Based Hiring, Self-Employment Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities.
